Musical Moments Music Therapy Services
Musical Moments Music Therapy Services is based in the Greater Hartford Connecticut area and offers group and individual sessions for all ages. Professionally insured, owner Michelle Russell MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Trinity College and her Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University. She completed board certification as a Music Therapist in 2001.
Michelle has worked with individuals of all ages. She has worked with children as young as six weeks old as well as individuals who are 109 years young! She believes strongly in the use of music as a therapeutic tool. Miracles can happen in the most precious of musical moments.
Services
Individual Music Therapy
Individual Music Therapy sessions are available for all ages at a client's home, facility, or an agreed-upon location. A full assessment is conducted to assess strengths and areas of focus, from which customized and personalized goals are created.
Senior Living
We offer group music programming at Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities throughout Hartford County. One of our primary goals is facilitating a strong sense of community and connection through active music-making and singing.
Early Childhood Music Enrichment
Early Childhood music classes are available in Preschool and Childcare settings. These goal-oriented programs support the curriculum of each school. Working in collaboration with each center, music can help support the developmental and educational milestones of each child.
Parent/Child Music Classes
Come Tap, clap, cuddle, and sing with your littlest ones. These classes are designed for children with an adult companion. Small class sizes are facilitated with all live music-making to meet the individual needs of each family.
Professional Development
Inservice training, lectures/workshops are available in person and in an online format.
